Charnwood Sapphires Netball Club - A Silver CAPS Accredited Club

At Charnwood Sapphires netball club we like to encourage all our members and volunteers to help with coaching and umpiring. We try to make it as fun and an enjoyable experience.

The head coach of the club sets a positive example and provides opportunities for the members and volunteers to express their views.

At training each member is given the opportunity to lead part or all of the training session under the guide of one of the other qualified coaches. Our umpires are given the opportunity to umpire a match whilst being mentored by the other umpires in the club.

Many members use the volunteer hours they give to the club as part of their Duke of Edinburgh award or Young Leaders award.

Members gain further experience by umpiring in the Leicester Youth League, Loughborough Youth League, Loughborough Primary Schools Tournament and Links 77 Small Primary Schools Tournament.
